Quick and Easy Breakfast Jar

We have all heard it, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!” on more than one occasion. But the old saying is true – if you’re seeking weight loss or simply a healthier overall lifestyle, eating a nutritious breakfast on a regular routine is crucial. Begin your day with breakfast, effectively jump-starting your metabolism and deterring you from unhealthy food options later in the day when hunger and fatigue set in.

Eating a healthy breakfast goes hand-in-hand with well-being and personal health benefits. A balanced, nutrition packed breakfast should be a regular aspect of your daily routine.

Quick & Easy Breakfast in a Jar Materials needed for this recipe:

  • Mason Jar (any small container with a close-able lid)
  • Stirring Spoon
  • Measuring Cup (enough volume for 1/2 cup, 1/4 cup & 1 whole cup measurements)
  • Measuring Spoons (Tbsp. tsp.)

Ingredients needed for this recipe:

  • Quick Oats (Oatmeal, Granola, steel-cut Oats)
  • Cinnamon (added anti-inflammatory benefits)
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Plain Greek Yogurt (unflavored for to limit unnecessary excess sugars)
  • Almond Milk (substitute milk if desired)
  • Maple Syrup or Honey

STEP ONE: Open Mason Jar (or small container), begin measuring ½ cup of OATS. Pour Oats into open Mason Jar.

STEP TWO: Add ½ cup Almond Milk (substitute regular Milk if desired) to Oats in Mason Jar.

STEP THREE: Add desired Fruits to Mason Jar. (Get Creative!!! Any Fruit can be incorporated into this recipe).

STEP FOUR: Add a pinch of Cinnamon & Flax Seed. Stir Ingredients well.

STEP FIVE: (PAUSE RECIPE PREPARATION) After combining and mixing ingredients in the steps listed above, it’s time to STORE the Breakfast Jar in the Fridge Overnight or a minimum of 2 hours. NOTE: Allowing the Jar to sit for this amount of time ensures the oats will soak up all the flavor and textures of the almond milk.

STEP SIX: Add ½ cup of Plain Greek Yogurt.

STEP SEVEN: Add even more nutrient-packed fruits.

STEP EIGHT: Top with desired remaining toppings – Nuts, seeds, flax seed.

STEP NINE: Finish off with a shot of Maple Syrup or Honey.

There you have it! A few simple steps, a nutritious go-to breakfast recipe, and the perfect start to any morning.
